One of the biggest draws for me was that I could do my degree in under a year here whereas in Canada a post-graduate degree in education is two years in nearly every university. The practical counselling skills element of the programme was well-implemented and centred around the person-centred principles of congruence, empathy and unconditional positive regard. This began with learning how to engage with self-awareness, active listening, ethical principles and progressive practice within peer triad group work.

I ultimately decided on 吃瓜黑料 because I was impressed by progressive and people-centred publications from the Department of Social Work and Social Policy. I knew I wanted to study at an institution that valued such impactful research.

The PGDE course at 吃瓜黑料 is one I would thoroughly recommend. I found the modules enjoyable and the pace of learning made me feel both challenged and enthused in equal manner.
